Each year we get questions about parking at Jones Park and we recognize that it can be challenging because of the design of the park. Unfortunately, it is the most mobility accessible park Appleton has to offer at this time (for a festival of this size).
What to know about parking:
1. The Jones Park parking lot will be closed due to food truck parking and safety/security barricading prior to the festival. ONLY Vendors will have access to unload and then move their vehicles to nearby parking areas. Vehicles not moved by Noon will be ticketed and towed. (This is standard for all events hosted throughout the summer at this venue). Rocky Bleier Road will be open to drop passengers off to be more accessible to the southeast side of the park.
2. The Red Ramp is the closest ramp to the venue and offers an accessible sidewalk ramp zig-zagging into Jones Park. There are 16 accessible spots available.
3. Several street meters on Lawrence St. will have accessible bag coverings to expand street parking for those with proper mirror tags or license plates for accessible parking.
4. Two blocks east on Lawrence St., you will find the parking lot adjacent to the YMCA available.
5. Two blocks north on Appleton and Washington there is additional surface lot parking. (Some for free or metered).
6. For people who enjoy a longer walk, there is parking available near Pullmans, Riverside Pub, and Tandem. We ask that you support these businesses if you park here.
7. Two blocks to the west there is street, angle, and surface lot parking at the Outagamie County Courthouse (most of which is free and some metered).
8. We advise all Rideshare customers to be dropped off at the Expo Center parking lot or the nearby Hilton entrance and proceed one block to the festival grounds.
9. The nearest Valley Transit stop is the Valley Transit/Transfer Center across from the Appleton Public Library. There are additional parking ramps near the Transit Center.
Individuals are welcome to be dropped off at the Jones Parking Lot, there are accessible sidewalks and non-vehicular entry available. Carpooling is a wonderful option!
